Why We Chose This Project

There's no better way to quench your thirst than with a glass of pure, clean water. If you don't have safe water for cooking, washing, or cleaning, your health can take a nasty turn. Water 1st International won't just send gallons of the stuff to communities in Honduras and Bangladesh - they support 2,500 people by building sustainable water systems for long-term access.

It can be a thirsty journey on the long walk to the nearest water source and can displace all chances to seek jobs and educational opportunities. One billion people lack the luxury of water with over 5 million deaths occurring annually. Of that number, 5,000 children die per day, most under 5 years old from diarrhoea-related illness. TONIC partners with Water 1st International to galvanise 5 rural communities by funding the implementation of necessary water supplies and systems, latrines, and hygiene education.
