TONIC Goal: Get planting up to 62,500 trees to protect the earth's forests and make healthy habitats for animals, plants and people.
Why We Chose This Project
Life can be a walk in the park but with no trees to line the path, it can end up looking like just another car park and really, quite a stuffy place to be. We need carbon dioxide to replace oxygen in the air and breeze on through. American Forests thinks its time we get digging and start sprouting.
Almost 70% of the planet's land animals live in forests without trees. Healthy trees and forests mean healthy habitats for species of animals and plants – including people. Global warming relies on this process! TONIC will work with American Forests to fund the planting of 62,500 trees across North America, including forests in the United States, Canada and the rain forests of Mexico. We can breathe a sigh of relief that we are one step closer to restoring the earth's forests on a massive scale.
